Decision on coaching staff to come later
D-backs manager A.J. Hinch was asked before Friday's game about whether a determination had been made regarding his coaching staff.
"I'll review it at the end of the season and make a determination," Hinch said. "We've worked hard, we endured the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and some changes and so I don't want to dive into that too lightily. I understand the importance of their jobs and the relationships I've built with each of them, but I also think we owe it to the season and owe it to the players to not worry about it until October."
The holdovers from Bob Melvin's staff, which includes bench coach Kirk Gibson, first-base coach Lorenzo Bundy, third-base coach Chip Hale and bullpen coach Glenn Sherlock all have contracts that are set to expire at the end of October.
Though D-backs GM Josh Byrnes has not said so, it has been widely assumed that pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre Jr. and hitting coach Jack Howell, who both joined the staff when Hinch was hired May 8, are under contract at least through next season.

I am just wondering if the club is going after a new coach and if the club is going to try and keep haran and webby. The club has a lot of trade qualities like byrnes and snyder. The club should put clark as a hitting or first base coach and just stay young except in the closer go get a good savy close someone hew can throw smart and not just see if you can hit this someone just like the sorry Yankees close sorry bad comparison but his quality and younger.
